Woman rejects sons car gift in video: A Nigerian mother turned down a car that her son had given her for her birthday because she was worried about his means of support. The mother questioned how her son, who is still in college, could afford to give such a whip as a gift. She told him to drive the car out of her line of sight while she sprinkled the balloons on it in a clip that some people think was staged.

After she declined her son’s birthday gift of a car, a Nigerian mother shocked him, his friends, and several internet users. Maria Ude Nwachi released a brief video of the incident on her verified Facebook page.
She bemoaned that the young guy meant to use her for rituals as a result of the automobile gift and accused him of being an internet fraudster.

She said that since he was still a student and unemployed, he shouldn’t be able to purchase such a whip.

While some netizens commended the woman, others thought it was scripted, especially with the way she kept calling her supposed offspring ‘son.’
