Zenith Replies Customer Who Complained N4m Vanished: A two-page letter from Zenith Bank has been sent to a client who witnessed almost N4 million disappear from her account in only 20 minutes. The tier-one bank offered to assist her in recovering a tiny percentage if she was successful in getting a court ruling but stressed that there was little they could do. On January 13, 2023, the lost money became widely known after a video of the victim sobbing in the banking hall went viral.
A two-page defense letter from Zenith Bank Plc explains how one of its clients, Chiamaka Agim, had NN4.039 million stolen from her account.
Zenith Bank stated in a reply letter that Anyar Ikwor, Internal Control Unit, signed, that it can only retrieve N800,500 of the missing money.

According to FIJ, a bank representative called Ayim at 6 pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, and informed her over the phone that the transaction had been completed using her e-token.
She must have distributed the token pin, the bank representative further inquired. Ayim asserted that she had never requested a token or had one connected to her account.

On January 9, 2022, at 8:28 p.m., N3.71 million was transferred to one Isah. Three minutes later, N222,900 was transferred to the same account. While Abdulraham Sani collected N102,000 at 8.48 p.m., 15 minutes late.
